GIVING TO THE SAN DIEGO FIRE-RESCUE DEPARTMENTEach year, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department responds to thousands of fires, water-related and technical rescues, and calls for emergency medical assistance. They may have even helped you at one time. The San Diego Fire Rescue Foundation was created in 2006 to provide an enhanced level of service to the community by helping to supply essential technology, equipment, tools, and training for our first responders. Through the generous support of San Diegans, we are able to help provide these unmet needs that would not otherwise be available through our city’s budget process. Our funding begins where the City of San Diego’s budget stops. But, we cannot do this alone.
